Vocal Classes – PRIVATE & Group

Vocal Private Tuition (6yrs to Adults):
​Available in 30, 45 and 60 min
Our vocal classes are designed for students of all ages who enjoy singing and wish to improve their vocal technique. As the only first-person instrument in the arts, our approach to voice tuition is geared towards the individual, as every voice is unique. Breathing, support, phrasing, diction, intonation and tone quality are all studied in various styles, such as Opera, Lieder and Oratorio, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Pop ‘n Rock. Students will select, research and perform appropriate repertoire, and are given the opportunity to showcase their progress in Soirees throughout the year. We also encourage students to participate in Trinity exams, and fully prepare students towards this end.

Vocal Group - Larks (4.5 - 6yrs): 60 min.
Designed for young singers not quite ready for solo classes, this is a fun-filled introduction to singing, vocal technique, rhythm and musical knowledge. With repertoire consisting mainly of the Disney genre, our Larks are also introduced to elementary recorder and guitar. Classes are available upon enquiries at DUCTAC & Motor City Studio.

Vocal Group – Junior Ensemble (7 - 12yrs): 60 min.
Graduating from our Larks, Junior Ensemble is a class for students at elementary exam level, drawing from the Trinity syllabus. Exams are not obligatory! A fun-filled class teaching singing, vocal technique, rhythm and musical knowledge at a loftier level. Classes are available upon enquiries at Motor City Studio.

Vocal Group – Senior Ensemble (13yrs to Adults): 90 min.
A vocal experience created for upper teens and adults with a passion for singing music from all genres. Participants will receive instruction in basic vocal technique and ensemble singing. Classes are available upon enquiries at Motor City Studio.

Our teachers are carefully selected to offer tuition in many languages of music. Providing instrumental classes in winds, strings and percussion. IMPACT will nurture all your musical needs. Private classes currently are offered in:

Mini Muso's (3-4yrs) 45 min duration
This group class is geared for 3-4 years old. At this age children are encouraged to practice gross and fine motor skills, social skills, vocabulary, turn-taking and active listening. These are all presented in a music filled environment with the use of instrumental playing, singing, music games, dance, movement and crafts.
 
Mini Maestro's (5 – 8yrs) 60 min duration
In Mini Maestro's we nurture our 5-8 year olds into music tuition Band Class style.
They will be introduced to fundamental music concepts and notation .They will explore a wide variety of musical styles and instruments through group ensemble play and music games.
They will be exposed to violin, flute, clarinet, recorder, percussion and guitar as well as piano skills. This class is a fun musical experience to set the stage for little maestro's in formal music training.

WindWorx Band & Pizzicato Strings
These classes are available to students and instrumentalists of all ages who have the desire to enjoy music in a social setting.
Whilst discovering the joys of making music together, participants will learn finer music, ensemble and performance skills. The minimum playing standard for this class is Grade 2 Practical Level on your instrument.
